Happy Birthday, Great-Grandmother!

Last week we went down to Hook Line n Sinker in uptown to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. She is a great-grandmother and she still wakes up every morning and goes to the Landry Center for pilates, swim, and yoga classes!

Jack loves to practice steering the wheel. Everytime he sees a steering wheel he yells "drive drive"!

Jack sharing a french fry with his twin, his uncle Jeremy. Jack calls him "meme" which is what we called him when we were little because we couldn't say Jeremy.

Ridin' Dirty

It rained a few days last week and leave it to a little boy to find the remaining water in our backyard...I promise I don't feed him dirt...

36 Weeks...

Jacob Andrew is growing rapidly during these last few weeks of pregnancy! We have only 3 more weeks before our scheduled C section...man this pregnancy has FLOWN by compared to my pregnancy with Jack. Right now we are looking at Friday, April 17th and we will hopefully be able to get that firmed up on the calendar next week depending on how big they estimate his size to be. We want to by sure he is healthy and ready to go before we schedule anything for sure! I put a picture up per your requests but please note I never know exactly to take these pictures...where/how to stand...where to put my hands..to smile or not to smile...etc....but here I am at 36 weeeks nonetheless...

Them are Fightin' Words!

For the most part, a toddler starting to talk is the cutest thing. However, there a few words that Jack has started using lately that make daddy really unhappy:)

During the day I obviously talk to Jack quite a bit since it's just the two of us and apparently I've been saying "cute" wayyyyy too much. After I got ready for church on Sunday morning I came out of the bathroom and much to daddy's dismay Jack said "CUTE"! Erik said "did he just say 'cute'"? Yes, honey. He said mommy looked "cute":)

Then on the way to church we were driving by Willow Bend Mall and all the sudden from the backseat we hear "MALL"..."MALL"..."MALL"....once again Erik was in shock that his son would be so excited about a mall. I convinced him that it wasn't the actually stores he was excited about but it was Chic Fil A and the play area which made Erik feel a little better...but not really:)

Bedtime Conversation with Jack

Jerica/Erik: "Okay, Jack. Clean up your playroom it's nightnight time."
Jack: "nonononono"
Jerica/Erik: "Yes, it's time let's go read a story."
Jack: "Yock, momma, Yock" (yock=rock)
Jerica/Erik: "No but we'll sing you one song and then it's nightnight time"
(as soon as the song is over...)
Jack: "Wa Wa, Momma, Wa Wa" (wa wa=water)
Jerica/Erik: "You just drank your whole sippy cup full, Jack. Now it's nightnight time"
Jack: "Nooooooooooooo. Book Book Book"
Jerica/Erik: "We just read you two stories, Jack. Now it's nightnight time"

(then we proceed to pray with him as he fights us and we put him in his cage...I mean crib:)

So Proud of My Hubby!

We had Erik's annual AXA Advisors Awards Banquet this past weekend and Erik was scheduled to win an award based on his performance this year. I am so proud of his hard work even in this "market downturn". Way to go, Erik! I should also add that this was the latest we've been out in a LONG time. Jack was sound asleep with the babysitter so we were free for the evening. We like to pretend we are still young and cool:)

I made him take a picture with his trophy:)
Not a good picture but this is Erik on stage receiving his award. I'm obviously not very good with cameras...

Erik was really excited for "casino night" after dinner!
I, on the other hand, was not excited about having a formal black tie affair being 8 months pregnant...picking out a dress becomes stressful instead of exciting!

Pics...some new some old

Eating cake at Grana's 50th Surprise Birthday party
A few weekends ago we took Jack to the Ft. Worth Zoo. Worth the drive, I might add...much better than the Dallas Zoo!

At lunch with dad...playing one handed peek a boo

He still thinks he is supposed to push his stroller instead of sit in it.

Not 2 minutes after we left the zoo, he was out.

He didn't want to ride in his stroller at the zoo so he pretty much walked/ran the entire way!

Jack and dad.

Don't worry, the lizard is not real and I had the sanitizer handy!!!! He wanted to kiss the lizard!!!
An oldie but goodie. I just got this picture last week from my neighbor. This was taken last summer at my neighbor's house when she asked if Jack wanted to fingerpaint. He borrowed a t shirt from Baylee and went to town! Wow he was a little BLONDIE!!!!
